This introductory session offers an insight to the fascinating world of somatic therapy. During this evening, we will review current research in neuroscience and explore the relationship that supports mind-body holism. We will take a dive into some basic Mindfulness techniques and gain an understanding to the important role that mindfulness plays in somatic therapy. We will then examine how all that comes together with examples of somatic psychotherapy methods.
This session consists of both lecture and experiential demonstrations. Audience participation is encouraged but not required.
